Ronald L. Otte
Vice President of Operations

After a distinguished 34-year career in law enforcement in Alaska, Ron Otte joined the NMS team in 2000, as the Director of Operations for NMS Security. Ron started his police career with the Anchorage Police Department in 1965, with early assignments including patrol, traffic, community relations, training, investigations, and personnel selection. After working through the ranks, he was appointed Chief of Police in 1986 and served in that position for two years.

In 1989, Ron was hired as the Chief of Police for the City of Palmer. He held that position until 1994, when he was appointed Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Public Safety. As Commissioner, Ron managed a statewide law enforcement agency of 1,000 employees and a budget of $100 million.

Ron attended the University of Idaho for three years and completed his education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a graduate of the 115th session of the FBI National Academy and the FBI’s National Executive Institute. He is a life member of the Alaska Peace Officers Association, the Alaska Chiefs Association, and the Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers, and a current member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Scott Campbell
Security Manager

Scott Campbell recently transferred to NMS in the Anchorage headquarters office as the Security Manager for Remote Site Operations. Prior to his move to Anchorage, Scott worked for Purcell Security as a security Captain on the North Slope. As Captain, Scott was responsible for oversight of the security operations at all of BP's North Slope facilities.

Scott was also an Alaska State Trooper for twelve years, and in 1999 he served as the Chief of Police for the North Slope Borough. While serving as Chief of Police, Scott was also Chairman of the Alaska Police Standards Council. He has attended the Southern Police Institute at Louisville where he was a Dean's Scholar.

All told, Scott has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement. His extensive experience serving on Alaska's North Slope gives him particular insight and expertise in his new positions as Security Manger for Remote Site Operations with NMS.

Dave Dringle
Operations Manager

Dave Dringle joined NMS in 1997 as a patrol officer with NMS after serving 20 years in the Navy. In 1999 Dave was promoted to account supervisor. He was promoted again in 2001 to Operations Supervisor for Anchorage operations where he oversaw much of the Anchorage officers’ training.

In 2005, Dave was promoted to his current position of Operations Manager for the Anchorage area. As Operations Manager he oversees the fourteen Anchorage accounts. Dave is responsible for ensuring that all State and client requirements are met at each operation site. He is also responsible for ensuring that all officers receive weapons and use of force training. Dave is a licensed qualified agent with the State to issue guard licenses.

Dave is currently a member of the Alaska Peace Officers Association and of ASIS International.

Dan Cloud
Operations Supervisor

Dan Cloud joined NMS in 2005 as the Anchorage Operations Supervisor after five years in the security industry and 22 years in the Air Force. As Operations Supervisor Dan’s responsibilities include daily contact with officers and clients to ensure smooth operations, the recruitment and training of new officers and issuance of uniforms. More recently Dan’s duties have expanded to include the start up of new client locations, including the design and issuance of uniforms, the recruitment and training of new officers and overseeing the transition of the site from previous security providers.

Dan is currently a member of ASIS International and is pursuing his B.A. in Business Administration at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
